Finally we bring you the first Missteps show of the semester, welcoming London-now-NYC-based producer and Night Slugs labelhead, L-Vis 1990. Come out to Zelnick Pavilion on Friday between 10:00PM to 1:00AM for a night of genre-bending underground club music with an opening set by curators/founders Nicholas Msall and Guy Fridge, and live visuals by Wyatt Hodgson. Learn more and here a mix by L-Vis after the jump.
L-Vis 1990, together with DJ/producer Bok Bok, founded Night Slugs which began as a night club collaboration between the two friends. Later it evolved into a record label and that is now known for its output of cutting edge club music.
L-Vis 1990 (real name James Connolly) is a pioneer of all things grime and uk-funky. In addition to putting out work on his own label, he's released music on PMR, Sound Pellegrino, and Island Records, among others.
Missteps founders and curators, Nicholas Msall and Guy Fridge, will start off the night with a back-to-back DJ set playing everything from 4x4 techno to grime and all the bits in-between.
